A fifth-generation Texan, Wende graduated from the University of Texas at Austin but spent her college summers based in Germany and working abroad. Her first career was as an international model, featured in German Marie Claire, Vogue, and other publications, allowing her to travel and explore new cultures for more than 20 years. These experiences gave her a worldly perspective, but also a deep appreciation for the friendliness and creativity of her college town and the Lone Star State. Drawn back to build a life here in Austin, Wende decided to pursue a career in real estate to help others put down roots in the city she loves.

She quickly became a trusted partner to her clients and continued to pursue her education, advancing from real estate agent to Broker Associate to expand the knowledge and expertise she brings to each opportunity. Joining Moreland Properties in 2008, she enjoys the backing of one of the most well-respected firms in Austin, as well as the global reach of Forbes International Real Estate membership. Her extensive network also allows her to serve clients anywhere in the Austin metro area, from the Highland Lakes to Hill Country ranches. In 2023, she had the honor of representing the highest-dollar public sale on Lake Travis. In addition to her expertise in single-family transactions, Wende has also guided several condo projects from conception to closing.
Giving It Her All.
When not giving it her all for her clients, you can find Wende giving it her all in the great outdoors. After running the Boston and New York marathons, she soon escalated to a full Ironman and is now tackling ultramarathons and other high-endurance adventure sports. Her recent accomplishments include conquering the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim, a 100-mile run across the Philippines, a 50-miler through the mountains of Patagonia (twice!), and, most recently, a 30-miler in the mountains of Norway. She also spends time on the Lady Bird Hike and Bike Trail, trying new restaurants around town, and planning her next far-flung expedition with her spouse, a military veteran. Wende embodies Austin: savvy, adventurous, and spirited, with the down-to-earth charm that reflects the city she loves.
